Who We Are and What We Do

Updated: Aug 16, 2021

Generations Physical Therapy - the name could not fit any better - a family-owned business through the generations that cares for the local communities' physical health needs. The company started in 1997 with the knowledge that our local communities need physical rehabilitation. It was built on a foundation of caring for each individual like family. We now serve six communities with our comprehensive team of therapists. In each of these communities, we strive to make a difference by connecting with each patient and aiding them on their path to recovery. We understand that the path to recovery is unique to the individual. We strive to meet each patient with compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable treatment.

What is the goal of Physical Therapy? What does Physical Therapy look like? Why would someone need Physical Therapy? Physical Therapy can address a multitude of issues. Our seasoned and skilled therapists work diligently to address a full body approach to treatment. Our goal is to help our patients return to their normal level of independence or even improve beyond that! This may mean reducing or eliminating pain, gaining joint mobility, building confidence in balance, addressing incontinence, managing lymphedema, or specific sport training. Treatment is tailored to the patient’s need, and you can expect a convenient and consistent level of skilled care. A patient's first visit will consist of an in-depth evaluation by one of our Physical Therapists. This is to understand the individual's need and create a Plan of Care for treatment. With this plan, our team will continue to treat each patient, changing the treatment as the patient progresses or the issue changes.

Joints, muscles, concussions, balance deficits, lymphedema, women's health, sport performance, dry needling – our team does it all! GPT cares about our community members in all avenues of life. We want patients to be able to move forward with life, actively going through daily routines without physical issues to hold them back!
